    1. I don't know if I could pick a favorite scary/horror book - I like so many! My favorite of all time is probably Dracula.

I have several favorite scary movies as well - Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween.

  7. My fave movie is The Shining - it still scares the hell out of me. It's so well done. I don't even associate Jack Torrence with Jack Nicholson, he's Torrence!

The book of The Shining is also one of my fave horror books - it's different from the Kubrick movie. Some of the scenes that didn't make the movie are just amazing. The moving topiary anyone!!!

Follow you - great blog! x

  13. I love anything scary! But favorites? That's tough...

Favorite Book would have to be "It" by Stephen King (I'm terrified of clowns). Favorite movie? Thirteen Ghosts. Definitely.

  14. IT by Stephen King. Movie and book. Who didn't love Pennywise?

  15. I agree that my favorite scary movie would be IT. My favorite scary book would probably be another Stephen King, the Shining.

  20. The movie, I think it's called the devil inside? Or devil inside me?? It scared the crap out of me. I had to pee and was to scared to get up and go because my bathroom light was off.

  21. the only horror book that ever scared the freakin crap outta me (to the point i couldn't even finish it, lol) was amityville horror, so i guess that would make it the best for me, and as far as movie...hmmm...i say "it" scares the bejeezus outta me, to the point i don't sleep for a couple days, but i love it!!!

  22. Anything with Stephen king, both books and movies but his six hour movie named "rose red" is my very favorite

  24. I can't do horror! Scares the beejeezus outta me! "Seven" with Brad Pitt almost scarred me for life! But I really like the Supernatural TV show...as long as I watch it during the day...LOL. :)

  25. Favorite scary movie of all time is The Excorcist. Just love it!!!! Total classic for sure!

Thank you for the INCREDIBLE give away! TOTAL EMBER HEAD HERE!!!!!

  26. My favourite horror book would have to be Dracula because I have actually walked those steps in Whitby at the abbey they Nina walked. As for movies, I think it would have to be The Ghost and the Shadow because it is a true story. I also really enjoy things by Rob Zombie but unfortunately horror movies to me are just not scary. It is the real life things that scare me.

  27. Scariest movie that I cant watch is Halloween (the first one). Favourite scary movie is probably The Omen, or Poltergeist (the first one).

For books, it would probably be Cujo by Stephen King. Why? Because the story itself is believable. The tale of a loyal, obedient family dog being bitten by a bat and becoming rabid attacking everyone who comes near it.. terrifying.

  28. Nightmare on elm street the first on and the first exorcist

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm a wimp when it comes to scary movies (terrible nightmares). I can't stand blood and gore..I liked Laura's Eyes (faye dunaway) and Watcher in the Woods (Bette Davis).

Scariest book I ever read The Exorcist!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was just thinking the other day- one of my favorite movies as a kid was Something Wicked this way Comes.

  31. Poltergiest Scariest movie I have ever seen (of course I was pretty young)...went to the movies to see it with a friend, (yes many moons ago) and remember scaring myself silly when I went to the bathroom then flushed...ran out of there like I was being chased...to this day I don't like scarey movies..and if I do..I will sit in one spot until daylight...doesn't matter how bad I have to pee...

  32. Any Stephan King book, not many movies. It is a bit hard to scare me, but I enjoy the search for a good one, best so far was pet cemetary.

    ReplyDelete
  33. "IT"...would you believe that I had nightmares of that clown long before I ever knew the book/movie existed? The first time I saw that movie and recognized that clown from my dreams I nearly had a heartattack.

    ReplyDelete
  34. i cant pick just one scary movie lol i think it would have to be house of a 1000 corpses and devil's rejects by rob zombie.

    ReplyDelete
  35. lol i have no idea what my favorite horror movie is since i tend to cover my face for more than half the movie. At the end ill be like" its over" that wasnt scary! and my friends will look at me as if i was dumb and tell me i didnt even watch it lmao. There was one movie that i really like though that i think is a horror movie but not sure. GHOST SHIP

  36. My favorite horror movie is Silent Hill. And my favorite horror book is The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
I have to agree with Ms. Jade...Doc is super hunky. :)

  37. The movie that scared me the most was the Exorcist. Every time that little girl's voice changed, it freaked me out.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I have a few fave scary books but one of the books that I really was spooked by is Lost Souls byPoppy Z Brite which I thought was really dark and disturbing.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Most movies just do not have the scare factor for me. I was scared of the Exorcist when I was a kid. But now the scary movies are the ones that get you in the head so I have to say Silence of the Lambs. Lector just has such a smooth voice, it would be so easy to fall for one of his traps and that is what is so scary.

  40. Mostly anything that has ghosts in it. I liked while I was scared: Shutter, The Grudge, 13 Ghosts. Unfortunately I did not had the opportunity to read any horror book.
Thank you for hosting the giveaway and thank you Madison for the swag.

  41. All time favorite...The Exorcist. I was 12 years old and home alone with my sister while my mom was at work. I decided that I was going to watch this, my sister chickened out, so I turned off all the lights in the house and plopped down in front of the TV. When my mom came home from work that evening I was frozen in front of the TV. I had never been so happy to see anyone as I was right then! Ahhh, memories!

Some more of my many favorite books and movies are: The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist, The Birds (yes I'm dating myself), Rosemary's Baby, Cape Fear, Nightmare on Elm Street, Cujo, The Shining, 13 Ghosts, Friday the 13th, Christine, and many more!

Can you tell I like Horror/Suspense/Thriller movies/books? LOL

Thank you so much for hosting this wonderful Swag Giveaway and to Madison you're awesome!! Good luck to everyone and Happy Halloween!!
